Filter which senders Jarvis processes - our inbox has too much noise

Our support inbox is also cc'd on billing notifications, bounce notifications, and newsletter unsubscribes. Jarvis is creating issues for all of it. Is there a way to restrict processing to specific senders?

Settings > Email Monitoring > [your account] > Allowed Senders. Accepts:

  • Exact emails: customer@acme.com
  • Wildcards: *@acme.com
  • Gmail labels: label:support (only messages with that Gmail label get processed)

I'd recommend using a Gmail label. Set up a filter in Gmail itself that applies 'Support' to anything matching your support criteria, then point Jarvis at that label. Keeps the filtering logic in one place (Gmail) where you can iterate on it.

Label approach worked. Issue creation dropped from ~80/day to ~22/day, all real.

Related tip: we also added a filter that skips messages where from contains 'no-reply' or 'noreply'. Catches a lot of automated cruft.
