I typed a message mid-session and Jarvis ignored it. Is user input actually used?

Jarvis was executing a plan, I noticed it was about to take a wrong approach, typed 'stop, try approach B instead' in the chat. It kept executing the original plan anyway. Did my message get dropped?

Your message was received, but the agent finished the current tool call before processing it. That's expected - we don't interrupt in-flight tool calls because the partial result can leave things in a weird state.

After the current tool call completes, your message gets injected as a [USER DIRECTIVE - OVERRIDES CURRENT PLAN] marker, and the next action must address it. So you would have seen Jarvis pivot after the in-flight call finished.

If you need a hard stop right now, there's a Stop button in the session header. That cancels the agent loop immediately, no current tool call completion.

That tracks with what I saw, the pivot happened on the next action. I thought it had ignored me. Stop button is a good thing to know about.
